Summer Camp for Kids

A summer camp that introduces children to boating, marine safety, and fun water activities.
  • 5 days, $200/person/day

This summer, let your children dive into the world of maritime adventure with our specially curated Summer Camp for Kids, held at the scenic Friday Harbour on Lake Simcoe

Designed to inspire and educate, our camp offers a unique blend of fun, learning, and outdoor activity. Boat Rental by Sail La Vie allows kids to get hands-on experience in boating, learn about marine safety, and engage in exciting water-based activities.

It's an opportunity for them to disconnect from the digital world and connect with nature, forging new friendships and creating unforgettable memories along the shimmering waters of Lake Simcoe.

We welcome parent-volunteers! If you have time and energy, please join us for 1 day and see firsthand the joys of boating on Lake Simcoe! Just let us know what day you will be staying with Sail La Vie day camp.

*For reservation confirmation or in case of illness/absence, please call (289) 684-2548. If your child is unwell or shows any Covid symptoms, kindly keep them home.

Schedule

8:30 am

9:00 am

Drop-off

-->

Drop your campers at the front desk, near the Harbour Master building. Pack lunch, snacks, water, swimwear, towel, sunblock, sunhat, flip-flops, and a spare outfit. Ensure they wear closed-toe shoes with non-marking soles. Activities kick off at 9 am sharp.

9:00 am

12:30 am

Sailing & Boating

-->

Our campers will spend mornings on the water learning the boating basics and introduction to sailing. They will have an opportunity to experience different types of boats on different days: aside from a sailing vessel, they will be aboard a pontoon, deck-boat or a bowrider.

12:30 am

1:00 pm

Personal Break

-->

This is a great time to make a call home. Let your child know if you’d like them to contact you. We highly recommend that personal phone devices are left at the front desk during the active parts of the day. We all know how quickly phones fall into the water. Using a phone on a boat can also cause seasickness.

1:00 pm

2:00 pm

Lunch

-->

Campers will enjoy their packed lunches from home. We will store their food in cooled conditions prior to this break. We will provide cold drinks and some fruit as well.

2:00 pm

4:30 pm

Outdoor Activities

-->

Time for more outdoor activities! We have lots of them planned (rain or shine). There will be various games, swimming, hiking, and other activities that aim to develop outdoor skills, team building and leadership skills.

4:30 pm

5:00 pm

Pick-up

-->

Please pick up your child at the same place – Sail La Vie front desk.
